FunAvid is an environmental sensitive Foundation which focuses on providing medical assistance, education, and training for local poor Honduras. They promote sustainable development and eco-tourism that benefits local communities, maintains and helps restore the environment, and helps the local economy.

FunAvid uses their land as well as their educational and research centre, in association of CURLA (part of the University of Honduras), to teach farmers and families sustainable agricultural methods using scientific research, demonstrations, and outreach. They hope to reduce poverty, reduce erosion, and save forests so that the land and waterways remain fertile, healthy, and useful for humans and wildlife.
